Mindi talked about collaborating with other artists on The Smooth Jazz Cruise. And about breaking into the music business when she first moved to LA where she was discovered by Bobby Lyle. She also reflects on partnering with guitarist Randy Jacobs in the band The Boneshakers. He has played the Hollywood Bowl, Carnegie Hall, and the Kennedy Center, as well as toured throughout Europe, Japan, and the Middle East. His most recent albums as a bandleader are Things of that Particular Nature and DE3-Live at Maxwell’s, both on Sunnyside.

For the last several years, Robin has divided his rigorous performing schedule with the Mingus Big Band and his own groups with teaching at The Oberlin College Conservatory where he serves as a tenured Professor of Jazz Trombone. The goal for each show is to transform the main theater into a world-class showroom and give the guests a program that would be the equivalent of a top show on land…and do that for 7 consecutive nights. Botti at Sea II (’25) is a charter cruise program designed in the spirit and style of Chris Botti, America’s #1 selling American instrumentalist since 2004. Though it dominates the jazz and adult music genre presented on Journey of Jazz ’25, it has also produced cruises that feature rock, country, gospel, pop music and more.
